Martin Beaver is a Canadian violinist best known as the first violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet. Beaver joined the Tokyo String Quartet as its first violinist in 2002 and remained until 2013. As a part of the Tokyo String Quartet, he played the Paganini-Comte Cozio di Salabue violin (circa 1727) on loan from the Nippon Foundation. Beaver is known for his technical agility, versatility, warm tone, and a prodigious memory for the violin repertoire. He currently performs on a violin made by the luthier Nicola Bergonzi, and is currently on faculty at the Colburn School in Los Angeles
Paul Coletti, Violist, has performed as a soloist in every major European capital and at over 50 international music festivals. Born in Scotland to an Italian family, he began viola lessons when he was 8, and at 23 made his New York debut. He has held teaching positions at the International Menuhin Music Academy in Gstaad, the University of Washington, the Peabody Conservatory, UCLA, and now teaches exclusively at The Colburn School.
Clive Greensmith, cellist, performed at the most prestigious venues and concert series throughout the world for 13 years with the renowned Tokyo String Quartet. He had previously held the position of principal cellist of London’s Royal Philharmonic Orchestra while performing internationally in festivals and as soloist. Clive is currently a faculty member at the Colburn Conservatory of Music.
Fabio Bidini, Pianist, prizewinner in 19 prizes in national and international piano competitions began his piano studies at the age of five, graduating from the Conservatory in Rome, Italy. He has performed as soloist with the London Symphony Orchestra, The Philharmonia Orchestra of London, Dallas Symphony Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, Atlanta Symphony among others. Fabio is currently a piano professor at the Colburn School.
